What can you do?

To illustrate what you can do with eye tracking one of our developers has created a short video. Using just his eyes as a control mechanism — visualized by the blue bubble — he shows how to select objects, zoom, pan, and carry out a quality inspection.

Get started

To get started with eye tracking, the first thing you need is an eye tracker. Once you’ve connected it, download our Concept Validation Tool and start controlling things with your eyes — no application development needed!

Are you eligible for a loan?

We may be able to lend you an eye tracker for testing purposes. If you think you might be eligible, get in touch with us:

If you don’t want to wait, you can buy an eye tracker, such as the Tobii Eye Tracker 5 — available on Tobii Gaming.

#2
Connect and configure

Our eye trackers connect to a PC through a USB port. When you plug your eye tracker in for the first time, the Tobii Experience App will start automatically and guide you through the configuration options.

If you encounter any setup issues, this article on our support portal should be able to help you out.

The Concept Validation Tool gives you instant access to our eye tracking demo that includes features such as:

  • Select an object by looking at it
  • Zoom, scroll, or pan across the screen with head or eye movements
  • Perform a quality control check by ensuring that you look at all areas on a screen
  • Stop an action when you are distracted.

More on how it works

Placed on or within a device interface eye tracking captures a person’s eye movements and characteristics, calculating a range of useful data points including presence, attention, and gaze point as well as the position of a person’s eye and pupil size. An application can leverage this data for device interaction or to solve a problem.
